In 2025, AWCO North America branch visited the InterAct Women’s Shelter in North Carolina, U.S.A. They provided support with food items and donation in-kind, reflecting AWCO’s commitment to compassion, dignity, care, and community development.

In 2025, the AWCO North America Branch donated a bus to the Abiriba Women Cultural Organization (AWCO) to support the transportation needs of the aged in Abiriba. The bus is intended to facilitate the movement of elderly people, particularly in connection with AWCO’s Aid the Aged (ATA) programme and other welfare activities. This thoughtful donation reflects the commitment of AWCO North America to the wellbeing and dignity of the elderly in the Abiriba community. It is a valuable contribution that will help make transportation easier and more accessible for our senior citizens. AWCO Global appreciates AWCO North America for this generous and impactful gesture.

As part of AWCO North America’s first National Convention in 2023, members came together for a memorable sightseeing and fellowship experience across the Bay Area. The ladies enjoyed a bus tour through San Francisco, taking in iconic sights including the Golden Gate Bridge, Napa, and other highlights of the region. Following the city tour, North America President, Inyom Uche Joe Emeson, warmly hosted the members at her home, where they continued the celebration with laughter, fellowship, and shared memories. The experience was a wonderful opportunity for members to connect, relax, and celebrate the spirit of AWCO beyond their regular activities.
